| Personality Profile | Onye grew up in a humanoid culture where Notho, the native language, was conveyed in sign. Galactic Standard, the language of lies, was also spoken. She is adept at reading humanoid body language, and in particular notices when spoken words and non-verbal communication don't match. She tends to study a person, like breaking down a new piece of tech to figure out how it works, until she comes to a conclusion about how trustworthy that person is. Whilst living on her own on Nar Shaddaa it was far too dangerous to indulge in recreational socializing or intimate connections, activities Onye will take a healthy interest in among friends and in safer conditions. Onye is very direct, and usually says what she means. She often signs in her sleep. |

Historical Data
| Personal History | Onyesonwu was raised by her father, a brilliant starship mechanic, on the planet Nothoiin in the Ivax Nebula. Nothoiins are golden-skinned humanoid race who speak Noth (a sign language) and Galactic Standard, and are natural pilots. Onye's father was indentured to the Nothoiin leader of a smuggling operation. Onye assisted her father as a mechanic and as she got older helped run test-flights for repaired ships. (By Nothoiin standards Onye was not a great pilot, but putting his own child at the controls demonstrated her father's confidence in his repairs.) The smuggler leader took Onye and her father with him to conduct a deal on Nar Shaddaa. The deal went wrong, Onye's father was killed, and she was left stranded on Nar Shaddaa. With the help of a surprisingly kind Wookiee [actual circumstances to be determined], Onye found work as a mechanic in a junk yard on Nar Shadda, working for a Hutt named Darzith Jex.
